Hello Melissa. I very wanted to thank you for sharing your skills. I had been in the fashion industry for over 20 yrs. But, just recently got very interested in Fashion Photography. I had been and was very foutune to be able to with great designer and manufactures. Love to put out names but I’m just sure that manufacture will agree. Anyhow, I’m here today just to said Thank you and everyone that involved. I find you are very cool and awesome person, love your style.

Late, but this is a great post! I feel like stylists are usually the most under appreciated part of a “Crew” because it’s not considered a real “skill” or talent, and people feel like anyone can put together an outfit. Where I live, this is especially true…there are 100s of photographers and 2 wardrobe stylists. Usually the models just choose their own clothes…if only it were really that simple!

Fashion is one area I’ve stayed away from, I think you have to be in a city to make it work and for me that would be London. I prefer it in the sticks!
Mind you, you do always get good looking people to photograph!

If you want to be a professional photographer I don’t think you have to go any school or university. You just have to take some lessons from professionals.

Its constantly on my mind and the only career that seems right would be fashion photography. My question basically is what can I do now and what are the best schools to go to if I really want the best opprotunity to make a name for myself? Im a student still in high school but going into my senior year. The past year i have gotten interested in photography and fashion to such a high level.
