Personal Information:
Name: Ryuuzaki+Julio
Explanation: My work is usually dark, somehow there is something always behind a shoot and hidden and I like to express it with darkness, its a dreamy mood, where the model is looking at the moon, my ex-wife was cancer and its ruled by the moon, so that model represents me looking at the moon. The title of this shoot is “Fear of the Dark” representing the fear of being without her shine in my life.
Melissa Rodwell’s Critique: I chose this shot because it’s a really good fashion photograph. The styling really works, Ryuuzaki chose a good model who made the jeans look great, his choice in using a simple top that leads your eye back to the jeans, even with the little string that falls down takes your eye constantly back to the main piece: the jeans! The gold shoes are a nice accent as well. Overall mood is sexy, hot, and the lighting on the denim shows the details of the jeans, the pockets, the wash. Great job, Ryuuzaki.

Oh My Dear Lord!! Am I dreaming?
Thank you so much Melissa, I am so trilled by this I don’t even have words to say how much it means for me, I was not even hoping that I would get this far with this photograph, you are such an amazing and inspiring person. And now more than never I am pushing myself with all my strength to create better quality work. I am in deep appreciation with every single words that you put there for me. You are such an inspiration Melissa. Thank you so much again.
Wow Ryuuzaki! Absolutely amazing shot! Congrats on Winning the SOTW!
Good work Ryuuzaki!
I think as far as the editing goes a little bit more work could be done on the piece, I agree with Melissa though, the jeans do stick out of the photograph and the detail looks great leading the viewer to the model.
Now concept wise i do like your idea, very romantic and the light sure wraps around your concept.
Nice one!
Yes, I apologize for the missing of quality on the image. Its quite old work already. I had read one and over the notes Melissa has for all of us everyday, and my photography has changed so much, she is a great inspiration to keep improving.
Thank you Christopher Mills and Kozeth for your comments.
