Amanda Lim

Personal Information:

Name: Amanda Lim

Explanation: I was inspired by the use of movement and wind to create a mood. I felt a feeling during the period commencing this shoot, a need for redemption and I felt that to cope in such situations you need to remain standing strong despite all calamity. I used extra fabric caught by the wind to convey the emotions I felt.

Melissa Rodwell’s Critique: Amanda Lim really did a great job in lighting this dress! The way the fabric sweeps around also adds so much drama to the image. I would have liked to see the model move a bit more, a nice dancer stance would’ve added a lot to the image. And the background distracts me, but the lighitng is so dead on for the dress and the fabric that I  can’t keep my eyes off that sweep of silk that moves around the frame. Good job Amanda!
