Gonzalo Corrado

Gonzalo Corrado

Personal Information:

Name: Gonzalo Corrado

Explanation: We were asked to work on the cover of the winter issue of a fashion magazine.
Our idea was to relate the cold weather with the chocoalte. We chose a beautiful model, with very sensual mouth and eyes, and we decorated her with melted chocolate, to seduce the readers.

Melissa Rodwell’s Critique: Gonzalo did a great job as far as the beauty lighting and the styling. Love the little collar and tie edge to the cropped beauty. Great job with make up. And not sure if the chocolate was added in post, but it was nicely done. Especially the post on the skin…wasn’t too over done. Great job for a magazine cover to entice their readers to open the magazine and take a look at what’s inside!

@ Ale Zayas – the chocolate could have been shot on a mannequin head posed in the same way as the models head, lit, and then superimposed on the real model’s face without much sign of it. I think it was done is some such similar way.
I’m by no way taking away from the image (or the technique), it’s wonderful, just wanted to point out that the lighting on the chocolate has nothing to do with whether or not it was Post produced..
    Great image!
