Posting your photos online in a directory is fine; but a website allows you to run your business and market it. Good, SEO friendly web design is a must. The money is not a waste, IMHO.

This would be absolutely amazing. I designed a website for myself, but it costs so much, and it’s not even a flash-based site. I’d love to be able to make it look more up-to-date with flash, and I think that I would be taken more seriously.
