Jason Mitchell

Personal Information:

Name: Jason Mitchell

Explanation: We had a wonderful set of curved willow my partner Stacey created (a whole story in itself) that we paired up with these dramatic hand-made gowns by Cory Tran. We brought in Dawn Tunnell to do hair and make up on the stunning Soo Joo.

Melissa Rodwell’s Critique: Beautiful capture! I love the dress, and I like how Jason worked with his crew on choices for the hair and make up that worked with the fashion. Brilliant! Soo Joo is indeed stunning. I like the straight on shot with the subtle smile. Works well with the mysterious woodsy background! Lovely shot, Jason! It all works well. Including the lighting!!

This is absolutely my fav shot in a while. I love it!~ just simply love it! The colors’ interactions with the lighting really strikes me.

The background looks unbelievable! Gorgeous! The interactions between her outfit and the background creates a sense of layers and depth that have my eyes exploring every inch of this photo, pulling out all its many facets. Because of the strong color choices and layering, the model’s lovely face is framed as the center of attention in a perfectly executed cyclical canvas exploration. 2 BIG thumbs up!

By the way, I regret that I didn’t identify SooJoo as being from Ford. She was truly fun to work with (and we had her back for this shoot).
    Thanks again!
