Explanation: This is part of an editorial series that is currently being submitted to several magazines for consideration. The idea of the editorial; we took one couture dress and gave it different accessories, creating three entirely different looks and personalities.

Melissa Rodwell's Critique: I like the other worldly feel with Helen's shot. I also love the garment the model is wearing. I feel like Helen chose the right model for the shot, her cool blonde look goes well with the environment. I wish I could've seen more of the model's face but the shot stands well as it is. The horizontal crop adds to the ethereal effect. Overall, great job, Helen!

Melissa Rodwell's Critique: Andriy Zolotoiy nails it again in this shot he submitted! The lighting is gorgeous and definitely rings authentic from the vintage era that Andriy was trying to replicate. The styling is fabulous, I especially love the bracelets and how the model's hand is gesturing to show them off! Great pose, very dramatic and strong! I love the folds in the gown, leading us back up to the white fur wrap. The objects in the background tell just enough of a story without interfering with the model and the clothes! Great job, once again, Andriy!!

Explanation: We had an opportunity to work with a great hair stylist Andreas Hinteregger passing through town. To match his long spirals of hair, Stacey Ransom put together a Giger / Burton inspired set. We booked 15-year-old Sara Jane from Ford and called in Eirik Aswang to clothe her and Ashley Joy-Beck to make her up. This shot was part of the first look and came from later in the session when we were starting to have some fun. We affectionately dubbed it "Cousin It Has a Posse."

Melissa Rodwell's Critique: I had a ton of submissions over the past week and so many of the shots submitted were great that it was difficult to choose but this one from Jason Mitchell really stood out. First of all, I think the lighting is great on both the model and the feathers. I like how you can see a peak of the detail of the dress, giving us an idea of what the garmet is but still leaving a bit to the imagination. The pose is striking, it's just a very nice shot. Congrats on this one, Jason!

Explanation: I wanted to do an editorial in this beautiful location that featured a run down barn which held old children's toys, boats, an old car and most interesting - an 8ft fiberglass candle and skeleton sculpture.  It made me think of childhood and having tea with my gran, but it also reminded me of those moments in childhood when you are lonely and somewhat abandoned.  I tried to portray this with the non communication between the models.

Melissa Rodwell's Critique: This shot is lovely. The clothes are well photographed and the mood is really exquisite. I get the loneliness and detached feeling that Carli described she was going for in her explanation. The make up and hair is extremely well done. I like how one model is looking in the camera while the other girl has her eyes closed. It has a very "Picnic at Hanging Rock" feeling and I'm a big fan of that style. The model's arms create a circular movement which caught my eye and forced it to move throughout the image which is always a very well thought out design element in a photograph. Good job, Carli! Keep 'em coming!
